Eagle's Rest-Fearojan

The Capital city of Fearojan named Eagle's Rest is a large bustling city set up on multiple Cliffs and ledges in the mountains. Originally a Dwarven city It can seem to be rather tight especially for Taller races if not staying in one of the many Inns or the Great Hall. Named for the large number of different Eagles thats nests can be found throughout the city, Although Some believe that this may also reference the current Queen of Fearojan known as The Eagle by her people.
As many of the buildings are on large ledges throughout the mountains there are many many rope paths and lifts to help people and carts navigate the city. Due to this there are many volunteer guards that help guide people to where they need to be so to not clog the lifts which are operated by sturdy draft horses. The bustle of the city makes it easy to get separated from your fellow travelers but is always a sight to see and can lead to many wonderful experiences.

Geography

Eagle's Rest is the Capital of Fearojan settled in the Mountains known as the Talons of the Reach, which is a large forked range that provides safety to the city which was originally built by the dwarves long ago after the collision had happened.

History

In the twenty years fallowing the collision the city then known as Khankahldur was built by the Dwarves who delved deep into the mountain. Eventually the Dwarves delved too deep and awoke and ancient Balrog that killed those within before returning to his sleep. Upon learning of what their brethren had done the rest of the Dwarves of Khankahldur sealed off the lower depths of their city and left for the other few remaining Dwarven Cities.
Thousands of years later as the humans of the land expanded they found the old city and began to fix it up and rebuild parts and to make it habitable for their people eventually re-naming the city Eagle's Rest and naming it the capital of their country due to an odd magical tree and fountain found in the very center of the great hall.

Tourism

Many humans come and go in daily life, in hopes of seeing the Fearojan Queen or just to see the great tree and fountain in hopes of healing or blessing. There are many inns and taverns throughout the city to allow for visitors and traders alike.
