Adventures in Goldenknock Primer

Welcome to the world of Erode. This article has been written to give you enough basic information on what you need to know to play a game in this setting. The world of Eorde is in constant conflict. in the first age it was the ancient primordials who battle it out and in the second age the heroes fought the gods themselves. This was followed by an age of blight where magic was weakened and the races of the earth fought themselves. This blight has just ended and while the countries still war amongst each other no one knows what will happen next.
While the world is large and vast, The game will center on the region of Westreach. This region was once covered by a Federation but split into multiple countries a few centuries prior.

Kingdom of Alteria

Alteria considers itself to be the true heir to the The Westreach Federation. A technological focused monarchy, they consider magic in any form to be anywhere from taboo to outright illegal. For the past century they have been at war with the Magocracy of Vestonia. Firearms can be found in this country. Alteria lies far to the north of Goldenknock.

Vestonia

Vestonia is a magocracy that formed after the mages were cast out from the crumbling Westreach Federation. It lies on the southern part of the region. Ruled by the mages guild each city is left to rule rather democratically as the mages themselves take an off hand approach to ruling. the common folk here are less likely to be nervous of magical phenomena and undead are sometim4es used as manual labor. low level magical items can be purchased in the major cities.

Clearwater

Clearwater is a free city state run by a council of patriarchs. They rely on trade and have remained neutral in the war between Alteria and Vestonia due to their trade power.

Boshton

A newly formed city state on the Silent Isle. It is run by Bosh. More of a military city state than an economic one. Boshton was influential in ending the Soul Blight which caused it to be recognized by the other countries of Westreach.
