Biological Traits

Like all elves, Sea Elves have narrow faces, sharp noses, and pointed ears. They are set apart however in a few ways. Do to their coastal or underwater environment they have adapted a series of small web like protrusions along their arms and legs. These allow for greater speed while swimming. Their bodies are also built in such a way that they can withstand the pressures of the deep ocean without damage to their internal organs. They do not have gills and as such cannot breathe underwater.

Sea Elves, like most other elves, reach maturity when they are 30 years old.

Facial characteristics

Sea elves who live underwater with usually either shave their heads or cut their hair close so as to keep it from floating into their eyes during hunts or battles. Sea elves who live on land have long dark black hair that they will braid with shells or other trinkets from the sea.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Sea Elves that live on land live along coasts either in small villages or in larger human cities. Most sea elves however live under the oceans in vast underwater cities.

Sea elves pfer names that remind them of the seas. No matter the region or language they find themselves in they will choose a name that has a close meaning to the waters or oceans.
Some common names for Sea Elves include Coral, Cordeila, Darya, Hali, Laguna, Mira, and Shore for girls
Bay, Caspian, Lir, Neptune, Reef, Seirus, Anchor, and Laiken for boys

Sea elves are lean and strong due to spending the majority of their time swimming. Those who give up the ways for life on land can often become overweight due to their diet.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Sea elves have a variety of skin tones depending on the region. The Sea Elves along the coast of Westreach are a seafoam green color while those south of Vestonia are a deep azure. On average Sea elves are of either a green or bluish tone to their skin. It has also been said that some sea elves who live in the depths of the ocean have lost most of the color in their skin.
