Ziti-Orna

Structure

Ziti-Orna is ruled by an absolute monarch in the God-King, Iraj Hematti. Hematti has ruled the country since its inception near the end of the Age of Heroes. He is considered to be the oldest living humanoid in the world do the fact that this puts him well over 1400 years old. It is well known however that he has in fact become an ascendant. This may have allowed him to live much longer than what is normally possible.   Below the Hematti are the temple high priests. Each of the four main temples help rule in the day to day decisions of the empire. While the God-King himself is absolute in his authority he often lets the prietss deal with the more mundane problems of ruling.

History

The empire of Ziti-Orna began as a large city-state during the Age of Heroes. Its capital, the city of Dessa, had always been an influential city. Near the end of the age an ascendant named Iraj Hemmati arrived with a following of worshipers and he conquered the city and proclaimed himself their god and king. Since then he has ruled the city and over the past millennia he and his followers have claimed the entire continent of Tralkan by subduing the various tribes inhabiting the deserts and the other city states along the main river.

Religion

The religion of Ziti is the official religion of the empire. While other gods and their churches are not expressly banned they face much persecution in daily life through the followers of the God-King. The main cities within the realm will most likely have a temple or few dedicated to the gods of Westreach. The Ziti religion consists of four main gods who act more as forces of nature rather than personified deities. The main god is the ruler of the empire.

This gold coin is embossed magically on one side with the head of the God king and the other side with his great palace at Dessa. There are two other coins used in Zity-Orna and they are the Abhu which are equal to 1/10th of a Signari and the Hebany which are equal to 10 Signari.
