Manaborn
Manaborn can be any gender or sentient race
Only about one in every one hundred born can be considered true Manaborn. Manaborn have a natural connection to the Manaflow, and can, with practice, learn to wield it with frightening power.
Manaborn often display a striking mark or feature about their bodies, such as large white birthmarks, white hair, or white/oddly colored eyes.
There is no agreed theory regarding the origin of Manaborn; they are born to females of all sentient races seemingly at random.
Other names for Manaborn include "Fey-touched," "God-touched," "Children of the Gods," or, in societies that fear or revile them, "Lightbloods," or "Lightwalkers."
In some nations and societies, Manaborn are considered heroes and blessings from the gods, while in others they are reviled. Several civilizations exile Manaborn upon discovery, and even kill Manaborn children upon birth.
Many Manaborn do not realize their true nature until later in their lives; some never do, though it is unusual for their powers not to manifest in some way throughout the course of their lives.
