The Greymist

The Greymist is a magical anomaly that resulted from the cataclysmic Spellplague.
No one knows its true origin, but in most cases, it seemed to emanate from and envelope the area around major Maenan cities, spreading outward for sometimes hundreds of miles, creating large swaths of land covered in a dense, thick magical fog.
Little is known about the effects of the Greymist, as traveling within an area enveloped by it is extremely dangerous. What little is known about the Greymist follows:

• It causes magic and magical effects to corrupt and become unstable
• It sometimes causes those that enter it to lose their minds, especially Manaborn and Manaborn magic wielders
• It is extremely difficult to navigate
• There are reports of creatures within the Greymist becoming twisted, aggressive, and unnaturally powerful
