The Separation

The Separation is the name of the magical boundary that separates the inner planes of Eos from the outer. It was created by the Exalted Host at the end of the Dawn Wars, when they banished themselves and their counterparts into the Manaflow. The Separation largely prevents beings of great power from traveling between the inner and outer planes of existence.
There is some debate about who and how the Separation can be circumvented for intraplanar travel, but most magical scholars believe that it can be done. Pellegrin the Wise is quoted as describing the Separation by saying "think of it as a net made of a mesh-woven material. Large beings are caught, while very small ones pass through the holes with ease."
