Hodr

Hodr was a god of the Aesir who lived in Asgard. He was the twin-brother of Baldur and was blind.   Hodr is best known in as the god who killed Baldur, though he was tricked by Loki into accidently doing it.   Because of his involvement in killing Baldur, Odin concieved a child with the giantess Rindr with the sole purpose of killing Hodr. The child's name wasVali. Vali grew up within a day and killed Hodr, fullfilling his purpose.
