Erian's Staff

Sirius and Erian were inseparable. Almost as inseparable as them were Erian and her staff, which she would take everywhere. The reason was pretty obvious: the staff made her magic possible, and all the good -- and evil -- she had done would not be real without it.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

There is no consense on the working of the staff. Sirius never revealed how he crafted it, possibly fearing that a similar technology could be replicated.
Some people say it was a magic staff; others may say the staff was, at least in part, a machine; there are those who also say the staff is an unknown living creature. Of course, there are those who say that all these characteristics are true.
