C-15 Vespa

The C-15 Vespa is a Bardonese jet fighter and interceptor aircraft. Once the jewel of the Vis Aerae's fleet of fighter jets, the Vespa has stayed in service for decades longer than any of her third-generation equals around the world. Today, the Vespa embodies Bardona's superior numbers strategy in the sky; large numbers of the aging aircraft are deployed to take control of an airspace by sheer numbers and support the smaller fleet of C-36 Aquila stealth fighter jets.

Origins

During the War of Seven Nations, the Grand Duchy of Bardona was sorely outnumbered in the air by the combined might of its six neighbors. Bardona was one of the few world nations that had invested in jet fighter technology at the time, and that's one of the few advantages that let them even stand a chance in the air war. So following the miraculous victory of the fledgling Bardonese Commonwealth, work began to maintain that technological advantage that had been their saving grace.
