Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Helios takes the form of a man made of pure, radiant golden fire, through from his chariot over the sky, all people can see of him is a ball of blinding yellow flames.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Helios was the son of the Titan Hyperion and the Titaness Theia. Helios saw how his parents and their fellow Titans abused their power, and when the children of Cronos rebelled against the Titans, Helios did not aid either side. He saw the Titanomachy as punishment for the hubris of the Titans.
After the defeat of the Titans and their banishment to Tartarus, Zeus rewarded Helios for his neutrality, by giving him the role once held by his father, Hyperion, that of the Sun. Helios was gifted a golden chariot driven by four horses which he would ride through the sky everyday.
Intellectual Characteristics
Unlike most gods, Helios is not self obsessed. He believes that hubris led to the downfall of the Titans, and that they deserved their fate.
Morality & Philosophy
Modesty. Bragging brings nothing but an invitation for disaster and karma.
Helios believes that mortals should be more truthful, as in all his years watching over the earth, he has seen lies cause more harm than good. Those who worship Helios are expected to keep their oaths and tell no lies.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Helios dislikes the undead, especially vampires, as he sees them as mortals who are so consumed by their ego that they would deny the natural order of things. He seeks to destroy all vampires, and has his paladins enact his will.
Virtues & Personality perks
Helios is incredibly powerful, and unlike many of his relatives, he does not let this power go to his head. He does not let his ego get the best of him, making him hard to manipulate.
Vices & Personality flaws
Helios rarely cares what others think of him, which has stained his relationship with some of the Olympians, especially Poseidon.
Social
Family Ties
Helios dislikes his cousin Zeus, as he is all too willing to break his vow to his wife. As the Sun, Helios sees almost every betrayal. Helios is also disgusted by the treatment Zeus gives their cousin Prometheus.
Helios respects Apollo, as one might expect the Titan God of Oaths to think of the Olympian God of Truth. He sees Apollo as naïve, but with good intentions.
Helios feels great pity towards his cousin Atlas, who he often visits from time to time.
Helios respects Hermes, both for his determination and for his lack of arrogance.
Social Aptitude
Helios does not like engaging in conversations he sees as pointless, and hates small talk. He speaks in a formal yet blunt manner, and he is not one to sweeten a harsh truth.
