Second circle of Hell dedicated to greed and ruled by the Archdevil, Archduke Mammon.
The second ring of hell exists inside and includes the walls of the city, Dis. Everything is of the most ostentatious finery. Buildings are gilded and lavish. Streets are literally paved with gold or other precious metals. Businesses of all sorts abound, including banks, pleasure houses, shops of various kinds, restaurants, taverns and inns. Nearly any item in the spirit world can be found here, for the right price. This portion of the city is divided into districts based on precious metals, with the value of the metal reflecting the wealth of the district.
Platinum District- The wealthiest, hence, most elite district, the Platinum District is off-limits to everyone that isn’t a resident. It contains the most expensive shops and repositories of banks. Masterwork +2 items are sold here. Increase purchase difficulties +6. Masterwork +3 items can be requisitioned and increase purchase difficulties to +8. Gold District- An elite district open only to its own residents and those of the Platinum district. It is where those of the Platinum District go to purchase discounted items. Masterwork +1 items are sold here. Increase purchase difficulties +4. Purchase DC Limit: 38 (250,000 gp)
Electrum District -Goods cost more here than in the silver district, although the quality is little improved. Masterwork Items are sold in this district. Increase purchase difficulties +2. Purchase DC Limit: 36 (100,000 gp)
Silver District- The standard district, prices here are typical for the items in question and quality is acceptable. Purchase DC Limit: 34 (50,000 gp)
Copper District - The “bargain” district, this is where the cheapest “legitimate” goods can be purchased. Decrease purchase difficulties by -1. Purchase DC Limit: 30 (10,000 gp)
Bronze District -The poorest district, it is here that goods are the cheapest and shoddiest. True to their natures, many exceedingly wealthy devils reside here, unwilling to spend a single copper on anything. Instead, they hoard their wealth, making absolutely no use of it other than as a thing of comfort. Decrease purchase difficulties by -2. Purchase DC Limit: 26 (2500 gp)
