Snow Elf

Snow elves are smaller and more compact most other elves, a side effect of the harsh conditions in which they live. They rarely stand more than 5' tall.

LIke all elves, snow elves reproduce very rarely.

Snow elves age at the same rate as other elves, approximately 1/10 the rate of humans.

Ecology and Habitats

Snow elves live in Arctic terrain where fill a niche very similar to those of other elves, acting as guardians of their terrain, always vigilant for overuse of the land and its resources. Just like with most other elves, this brings them into conflict with other humanoids often.

Dietary Needs and Habits

While snow elves are omnivores, eating grasses, tubers, seaweed and berries when they can find them, they are capable of surviving on an all meat diet for up to 10 months at a time, eating the whole animal raw.

Like most other elves, upon reaching adulthood, snow elves appear to be one age category younger than they are.

Snow elves live in smaller, more steady communities than a lot of other elven subspecies, largely no more than a dozen adults.

Facial characteristics

Snow elves have angular faces with pointed features, Their noses are pointy, their eyes are almond shaped, and their ears are especially pointed, even for an elf.   Like all elves, they don't grow body hair except for the tops of their heads, eyebrows, and eyelashes.

Snow elves live in all arctic terrain. Nordheim, Jotunheim, and Nifelheim, all have attestation to their existing through the folklore, myths, and legends from these areas.
