Southern Pines
Directly south of Icehaymer, the Southern Pines are known as one of the most dangerous places in the Northlands. A natural habitat for great beasts, the Southern Pines is a region covered with a forest of enormous pine and larch. Nestled south of the Icehaymer mountains, the range elevates the landscape, causing multiple valleys and blankets of fog. Many travelers avoid the area, as stories told by campfire reveal that only followers of the Primal Deity Thayriel are welcome in the dense forest.
Warden's Triad
The Warden's Triad is made up of three small villages: Beruvik, Kharahkan and Pinefell all led by rangers who follow the Primal Deity Thayriel, the Keen Eyed. Each of the three villages are close to one another in the shadows of the Icehaymer mountains, allowing the three rangers to meet in order to discuss important decisions regarding the Warden's Triad.
Woodland Warriors
To bolster their defenses against the dangerous denizens of the Northlands, the Warden's Triad would train worthy warriors to embrace the hunt and protect their people. This is the basis for the Warden Triad's defense and is engrained in their religion. Not everyone can be chosen as a member, as one must prove one's worth during the Day of the Hunt and willingly accept a great challenge to prove their strength.
Those who successfully return are rewarded based on which of the village they hail from:
Beruvik Woodland Warriors appreciate a direct approach in battle.
Kharahkan Wood Warriors appreciate tracking prey from the shadows.
Pinefell Wood Warriors appreciate remaining stalwart when defending their allies.
