Illithid, Mindflayers or Cthulhu's Kin, Are a race of purple, blue or green humanoids with squid-like heads and small dragon-esque wings.
Illithid are humans that have been chosen by Cthulhu (or sometimes Nyarlathotep) to become his kin, Causing them to undergo a gruesome transformation into a mindflayer. These people serve the Great Old Ones in any way they wish, And while most Illithid choose to reside in Apocrypha, Some choose to go out into Erethes, Where they are feared by many.
