Aurora River tours may have a niche market, but that niche is the catering to the extremely rich. And what better way to get rich yourself than to take money away from rich people?

Although it may seem like just a business that sets up skating tours of the frozen river of the The Frosted Fields, Aurora River Tours do put some effort into making their tours a fun experience. Mostly that they put lights underneath the outer layer of ice on the river. Enough lights are put underneath the ice, that it's like skating on the auroras in the sky.

With the constant snow falling inside the Frosted Fields, the snow must be constantly cleared from the entire area of the river that the company reserves. Which generally is not a small part of the river. It is a never ending job for hose that do it, and usually pretty thankless as well. As well, the ice of the river would eventually become uneven with the constant skating, so more employees go behind those that remove the snow, and re-ice the river.

Despite the extremely low amount of tourism that Isolde generates, a significant proportion of it comes from the Aurora River Tours, since the organization doesn't discriminate as long as you're willing to pay them. As such, it's something that tourists come to participate in, usually staying at the Brookfell Grounds where they can generally ignore the local hate. Aside from a few snooty glares from the rich Ice Elementals.
