Brookfell Grounds

The Brookfell Grounds is a tourist trap town located inside the The Frosted Fields. The permanent population of Brookfell is relatively minor, but it often swells in summer with visitors from other continents, and swells in the heart of winter with Ice Elementals. The town offers nearby access to various activities, including guided hikes around the The Frosted Fields, nearby access to the Aurora River Tours, and a warm place for non-Ice Elementals to warm up. The last point is rare in Isolde, and Brookfell is probably the warmest place in Isolde, both in temperature and in interaction with foreigners.

Activities

Most people come to Brookfell to enjoy the vast open space of the Frosted fields, with a place to warm up, so they don't freeze to death. Many activities are hosted here, including skiing, snowboarding, and a rather famous river slide. The river slide is just essentially being pushed down the slope of a frozen river, but it has captured the hearts of those that visit as something they can't do elsewhere.

Aside from the activities within the Frosted Fields, the town itself hosts a public skating rink, various spas and beauty salons, and food stands with local delicacies. There are two hotels within Brookfell that host the guests that arrive. One, the larger one, is advertised to everyone. The other is exclusive, which in "Ice" generally translates to the only people allowed are other Ice. Not that it's ridiculous because only one of the hotels actually has heat in the freezing cold.
