Erlo A World Changed On a Whim

The world of Erlo is full of mystery and wonder. There is a new creature, villain, or hero around every corner. You’ll find scary massive beasts in the forests, winged raptors roaming the sky’s of a canyon, gross trolls shuffling across mountain peaks. The world here is constantly fluctuating and changing because of all sorts of things. The magical energy of the fabric can cause mountains to form in just 100 years or crumble just as fast. Lakes can form and fish suddenly arrive as if fairies brought them. The rise and fall of enormous cities now buried beneath sand then flooded by an ocean. As for more recent history the known world was made up of the British who controlled the largest island(basically a small continent) of a large array of islands that made up Toniden. The time of Toniden was between 893-1486. The fall of the British empire was due to a lack of control on each island and the rise of a sea curse named “the cursed word”. A lack of understanding for the word had lead to countless deaths and nearly dismantling the British single handedly.   After the fall of the British empire a couple of the islands had begun forming a larger continent With the former British empire that would be known as Unidola. Many islanders ended up populating Unidola from before 1487 till 1617 when, what is known as the Great Rift occurs. The now large continent was cracked into 3 and drifted apart because of wars between many city states across the continent. The top continent named Harmondel and a major technological power house. Freedola(formally Farmondel) that is a more cowboy western with it being a hub for nefarious activities. Chenadel is the most dedicated continent to magic on the planet. They have a magical monarchy where a wizard king is appointed to the most powerful and dedicated wizard. After the split of Unidola adventurers found a continent 3 times the size of Unidola and named the new continent New Unidola.   This is just 1 planet in the material plane. There are 6 moral planes(mount Olympus, Hell, abyss, ect.), 4 core elemental planes(earth, wind, water, fire), then the positive and negative energy planes. There are countless planes in existence but the most important ones will be the material plane, Olympus, Hell, and the Abyss.
