The house was founded 200 years ago under Zaziya, Turrukean general who led warriors on raids against Isme-Dagan, son of Samsi-Addu. When the Tuyrukeans founded the kingdom of Tikunani, Zaziya created the realm of Ḫuršanum to the West. The two kingdoms were initially on good terms.
Zaziya's dwarves discovered copper in the Kisiyari mountain, once the mine was opened the house began to flourish. Soon Zazaiya made an alliance with Turukidal of the hidden realm, in return for military support and supplies the House of Ḫuršanum was gifted five Adamant Weapons from the master smith Turukidal.
106 years ago Apum's Amartu Orcs invaded Ḫuršanum, though they were repelled, Zaziya fell in the battle. Young Zumalah took his father's place at the head of the family.
48 years ago Tunip-Teššup of Tikunani invaded Ḫuršanum, and made it a part of the kingdom with Zumalah as the Nuldanum (Duke) of Ḫuršanum.
31 years ago Zumalah plotted a conspiracy to kill King Tunip-Teššup. The plot succeded, but Zumalah's involvment was quickly discovered, Zumalah, and all of the Maryannu in his house were exiled from Tikunani and all of it's lands, Zumalah's youngest son became Lord Šennum Šarri of Ḫuršanum . Zumalah and his warriors have not been seen or heard from in 30 years.
