Kagosō Languages

Kagosō is a language family comprising all the tongues of the Elves with the exception of the High Elven language, Hakugo. All of the Kagosō languages descend from a common ancestor, Kubyakugo, that was spoken in northwest Auslon two millennia before the beginning of the First Age.   By the end of the First Age, the family consisted of nineteen extant languages spoken throughout northern and western Auslon. By the end of the first century of the Second Age, five had gone extinct, replaced by Tothic languages, and by the onset of the fifth century of the Third Age, a further ten were endangered under Zalvotian rule.   The Kagosō family is further broken down into the following four groups: Peigosō, Saigosō, Eigosō, and Nangosō.
