Skøran

Skøran is a small island located in Tålesund of The Northern Reaches.

Features

The island is small and is home to a single town of the same name. The population of the town is small, mostly comprised of fisherman and boatcarvers.
Most people coming to the island for reasons other than fishing are researchers, scholars, mages, or others coming for the Skøran Reef, a large coral reef located just off the western shores of the island. While the reef makes the water between the island and the shoreline of mainland to the west unnavigable by large craft, smaller boats and rafts and still navigate the waters over the reef as long as one is careful. The local population provides boat rides to the reef for outsider wishing to view or research it, though the locals are very protective of the reef, and visit harsh reprisal against those that harm or damage it.
