Glimmerveil Stryx

The Glimmerveil Stryx is an exotic owl of black, orange, and red plumage named after the halfling god of death Glimmerveil, the Reclaimer. The presence of a living specimen causes 1 necrotic damage to any living creature within five feet of it. It generally lives in dead trees. When it catches its prey it will kill it and let it hang from branches in or near its tree. This often causes blood streaks that are often seen and cursed. The cry of a Glimmerveil Stryx is an airey haunting sound that sounds like an owl that has lost its voice.
