Diamond Lake
A large town in the south east of Dreksyl that prided itself on its massive iron mine. While not the largest iron mine, the towns close proximity to Ehron provided bountiful trade options with the High Elves. These trade deals are what initially brought the elves of Ehron to the negotiation deal that later created The Coalition.
In the year 621 AS the town began to experience incidents involving undead. While it started as one to two zombies attacking people in alleyways, it ended up escalating to nightly assaults on the town by hordes of undead. Still in its infancy, the Coalition did not have the resources to send troops to deal with it. Instead diverting funds to hire the Wardens of the Sliverlight to handle it instead. The Wardens however, were not a standing army. So while a few Wardens went to investigate where the undead were coming from, a mercenary company known as the Staggs were hired to protect the town.
The attacks were seemingly random, and after the Staggs reached the town there was no undead sightings for three days. This gave the town guard and the mercenaries time to reinforce the towns defenses. However, that was all for naught, as on the fourth night the town was attacked by a horde far larger than they ever seen prior to this night. The Palisades buckled under the weight of the attacking force.
Aware of their impending doom, the Captain of the guard ordered the Staggs to cover the escape of the towns folk then the entire guard force charged the southern gate to clear a path of escape. The tatic worked only leaving a small number of undead for the Staggs to deal with during the escape. However, the cost was the lives of the entire guard force.
The town now stands silent and without life, only the few stragglers of undead can be found wandering around the town.
