Tarrinfall's Golden Heart Apothecary
One of the many hospitals/apothecaries run by the Golden Heart, this being one of the largest.
Thanks to the extensive funding from The Red Palace, physicians of the Golden Heart can practice their skills at healing and research at low prices. While their prices are often negotiable or waved for the lower class citizens for Tarrinfall, physicians don't usually extend the same courtesy to mercenaries. Since most citizens are injured from accidents or illness, and mercenaries are injured from their actions, physicians will charge the mercenary to replenish their healing supplies.
However, no physician will ever refuse anyone in need of medical attention no matter what profession or wealth class they happen to fall under.
By law, this apothecary is the only establishment that sells health potions in the entire city. While the misinformed may cry hypocrisy about this practice, the Golden Heart will remind them that they do not hate magic but believe it foolish to rely on healing magic. This apothecary always has a druid from the Pren Dune on-site should the skills of the Golden Heart are not enough to treat a patient in need.
Physicians from the Golden Heart can be found patrolling the city and making house calls to those in need. Should a major accident occur, the Golden Heart will arrive on the scene relatively quickly, ready to render aid to those who need it.
For a small fee, individuals can take classes on first aid to become more capable healers. The Golden Heart believe that the more people who know how to treat wounds, then there would be less senseless deaths in the world. More recently these classes have been attended by a select few soldiers of the Coalition to treat battlefield wounds.
Purpose / Function
A medical center for the city of Tarrinfall.
Players can visit for various medical treatments such as addiction treatment, binding wounds caused by combat, curing most poisons, or attaching a prosthetic for a missing limb.
For ten gold, players can take a short rest to recover all hit points without spending any hit die. Any players suffering the poison condition will also be cured when they use this treatment.
