The Plaguebearers

The infected minions of the Archon of Ruin, mindless but deadly combatants infected with the Pox Plague. Most are little more than infected commoners who are about as effective (combat wise) as a zombie. However some are transformed into Plague Knights. Superior in fighting skills and additional abilities that aid in infecting others with the Pox Plague.

Notice from the Coalition Armed Forces: DO NOT APPROACH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Risk of infection extremely high without proper protection.

Combat Advisement: Ranged attacks, Stay out of melee range, Spells utilizing fire to burn away infection, have access to a priest or an anointed Knight, If maintaining a ranged combat stance is not feasible; wear Infection Control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to reduce the risk of infection.

Structure

Experts dictate that the Plaguebearers have some kind of psychic connection with the Archon of Ruin. Other than the Archon, no form of leadership is found amongst the Plaguebearers. All seem to be equally ranked but designated to different roles to maximize infection.

History

Historians agree that the Archon of Ruin was first spotted in the year 613. There are no records to support where the Archon was prior to this.

Eyewitness accounts agree that the Archon did not have any troops under her command at first. First recording sightings of the Plaguebearers originate in the year 614 AS.

The Plaguebearers made numerous attacks on enemy forts and stronghold often by infecting the water and food in the surrounding areas.

In the year 623 rumors begin to circulate that the Plaguebearers have been attacking non military targets namely civilian villages. Note: These rumors originated from inquires made by The Justicars. However most of the villages suspected to be victim of these attacks were found burned
