Galanus is a god associated with creation, craftsmanship, and constructs.
A creator deity, Galanus was instrumental in the formation of Esharra and the surrounding planes. A genderless being, fabricated by unknown powers before the universe began, Galanus is powerful yet extremely mysterious.

Galanus' primary domains are Artifice, Earth, Fire and Law. Its subdomains are Construct, Inevitable, Metal and Smoke.

Holy Books & Codes

A text sacred to Galanus, The Archaspectra, was said to contain blueprints for the most fundamental properties of the universe - however it was hidden during the Eidellian Age and remains lost.
Followers of Galanus instead look to The Novaspectra, a compendium of plans for the greatest inventions ever fashioned by mortals. Modern translations serve as resources for artisans, while ancient editions are kept as sacred tomes in Galanus' shrines and temples.

Galanus is usually represented by a globe made of concentric metal rings, however depictions of titanic humanoid constructs are not uncommon.
Though associations with animals are rare, the ant is considered sacred by Galanus' followers.

Tenets of Faith

Followers of Galanus believe that everything in the universe is defined by laws, and in turn, those laws have laws that govern them. Only by a process of continuous reductionism can the fundamental, indivisible laws of creation be rediscovered, and the Archaspectra rewritten.

Holidays

The second month, Galanter - the Month of Craftsmen - is named in Galanus' honour. A cold month near the start of the year, it is a time to draw up plans for the future.
