Dying Bog

A rather infamous swamp located in the southwestern region of the Blasted Lands, the Dying Bog is not far from the Ironbeak Bluff. The marshland is occasionally used as a waypoint for adventures traveling north from Nikaer’Kal. The land surrounding the swamp is unusually difficult to traverse, since the plants grow thick and twisted, and the swamps are dense with putrid mud. Water sources neighboring the bog are supernaturally fouled and a light fog obscures the region, regardless of the time of day or season. Much of this mystical activity is attributed to the supposed black dragon lair that resides at the heart of the Dying Bog.
