Emperor's Rise
Emperor's Rise was the Capital of the Empire of Estellia, founded by Margot atop the location where he found Truth's corpse. This colossal city was built using the divine magic of Margot's Lance and by hundreds of workers from across the empire who sought a new home after Margot had ruined theirs. Architects and designers from across the continent drew up plans for the city, creating a metropolis the like of which has not been seen since the first age. A city of white stone, the city featured intricate buildings and colossal castles.
Demographics
The city was skewed towards the upper class, with nobles and other rich members of society making up an astonishing 40% of the citizenship. Business owners, religious leaders, politicians, and many others all made their homes here in the city. The rest of the city was made up of mostly middle class citizens, who worked the jobs that the rich did not want to. The need for unskilled labour was low, as many of these jobs were automated through the use of magic. Hence the lack of lower class or poor citizens, though this was also a policy in the city itself, evicting those who could not keep up with rent and sending them to the orbiting cities to be sent elsewhere in the empire.
The city was distinctly diverse in species and races, all brought here to expand their horizons and make it in life. Racism was not massively prevalent, though it was still present. Especially towards people from newly conquered nations.
Government
The city was controlled by the city council, a group of nobles chosen by Margot to oversee and run the city that he lived in. They set the rates of taxation in the city, approved construction of public projects, amongst many other things. The only way to make one's way onto the council would be to get the attention of Margot, for instance many of the first members of the council were the architects who designed the city. Later members would be made up of those who excelled in their field in the city, or his own children.
Defences
The city was defended by three layers of walls, moats, bridges that could be raised, multiple garrisons, and of course the Emperor himself. Sieging this city would need a collective force of almost every country in the empire, and even then they would need to break through the rest of the emperor's countries defences.
Industry & Trade
Trade is the largest industry of the city, taking goods from across the empire and sending them elsewhere across the empire. In addition to this it is known for financial services, administration, tourism, and magical craftsmen.
Infrastructure
Industry was very low in the city, instead the city was known for it's powerful magical craftsmen and more people orientated services. It was also built with a strong infrastructure of roads, bridges, sewer systems, personal water distribution, and public transport.
Districts
The city was split into three circular districts. Each district would be separated by a river, with a checkpoint at each bridge crossing.
The outer ring was made up of the middle and rare lower classes, mostly filled with tightly packed townhouses and everyday life shops. Inn's, bars, clubs and other such entertainment would be frequent out here.
The middle ring was made up of the nobles and business leaders. Mansions, temples, city administration, theatres, this was the place where the rich would live and thrive. Magic item shops were also common here, as well as offices for companies that spanned across the empire.
The centre ring was the High Castle, Margot's personal home. This huge castle ground was the home to him, his children, and a handful of his most faithful servants and inner circle advisors. The castle grounds had everything the emperor would need, from pools and gardens, to training grounds and temples.

Assets
The city was the home of the Empire's central bank, the place where all taxes from the conquered countries would eventually arrive. This made the city ridiculously rich in gold. But not only that, the city had warehouses of equipment and valuables crafted and found across the empire. This city was the treasure horde of the Emperor, and it reaped the benefits of these stolen goods.
Guilds and Factions
The city is under the total control of the city council, however they are all influenced by the guilds that manage their respective trade. The most powerful of these guilds is the Trading Guild, who represent the people who move goods to and from the city. Another massively powerful group, though not a guild, is the Empire's Bank.
History
After discovering Truth's corpse in this location, Margot moved his mercenary company's home from Gradus to here. They built the area up to be their new camp ground, crafting the artefacts from Truth's body parts.
After the conquest of the West and Margot's creation of his empire, he began to hire architects from Westguard to develop a new city here in the centre of The Desolate Basin. They drew up plans for not only the city, but for the ring road of towns and villages that would surround it. After the conquest of the north, and their first Dwarven kingdom added to the fold, the city began to take proper shape. With each new country conquered new architects were brought in to add their own touch to this new international city.
The city took over 150 years to be completed to the original plans, and after this it was built stronger and denser. The buildings grew taller, with many buildings in the city with three or even four floors. Buildings outside the city walls were kept to a minimum, though these small villages did eventually start to appear.
After the death of Margot and the grip of the curse, this city has become possibly the most dangerous place in the material plane. The sheer number of monsters that exist within make it a daunting task for anyone to ever traverse, let alone survive.
