The Drowning Lake

The Drowining Lake is a large lake in the south of The Desolate Basin. It is fed by three separate rivers coming from each of the surrounding mountain ranges. The lake eventually drains into Murkwood Swamp. The lake has been used a source of food, drinking water, and recreation over the ages. However today it is a dangerous area, where those who sail across it might be attacked by the mutated fish who have been gripped by Margot's curse.

Geography

Large enough to not be able to see the other side from its banks, this lake could be described as a small sea. Its water is dark, the depth of the lake proving dangerous to those who fall into it. It is rather beautiful on a good day, but if one is caught in a storm on this lake there is a fair chance of capsizing as the waves can grow to a formidable size.
