Death

Death is the accepted name for the deity/entity representing the concept of death in the Estrodian pantheon. It is unknown if Death is an actual discrete god with goals or is simply a reference to the abstract concept of death itself. A shard of Death's soul is contained in one of the three Godsoul Shards, inhabiting the Death Stone.

Description

Death is almost always depicted as a traditional reaper, with a black hooded robe obscuring an invisible body. Death is sometimes depicted carrying a scythe as a weapon, but this is relatively rare, and it is most usually unarmed. It is also sometimes depicted with wings, and is almost never depicted as belonging to a particular race beyond being humanoid.

Followers

Followers of Death are secretive in their devotion, and most of them do not survive long enough to properly form organizations. True devotees of Death either kill themselves to join its domain, or are necromancers attempting to become liches. However, it is debated whether or not lichdom is a state in service of Death, given it is defined by the avoidance of death, and some maintain that necromancers and liches are actually mortal enemies of Death.   Living worshippers of Death usually do so secondarily, transitively worshipping Death as a function of worshipping their primary deity. This can be seen in the Summerhall Sect of the Hanged King's Followers, where the cultists murdered townsfolk in worship of their King but also to placate the Death Stone.
