Disciple Fracture

The Fracturing of the Disicple Order is a major catalyst in Estyan history that led to the founding of the Folatia Empire, and started the snowball that would cause the downfall of Estya as a whole.

The Conflict

Prelude

The rapid growth of the Disciple Order saw a fracturing of worldviews and how Nadyn's magic and the future of the Order should look.
While the Founders pushed the Disciples down a purely spirital path, a growing number of Disciples believed the Disciples could unite a fractured Estya under one banner, spreading Nadyn's tenants worldwide and ushering an era of peace.

Deployment

Insurgents infiltrated a meeting among the original twelve Founders of the Disciple Order, overpowering them. They dragged the Founders into the public eye and executed them all, sparking the conflict between those loyal to the founders and the insurgents.

Outcome

Immediately after the insurgents are forced from the Valley of the Night and they discover Nadyn's magic has been stripped from their control, they make their way to the edge of the Ramana Wood and began rapidly and aggressively recruiting soldiers to join their cause.
Once they had begun amassing an army, they declared themselves the Folatia Empire, and upon reaching five thousand strong, begun to take territory by force.

Aftermath

The fracturing of the Disciple Order has had effects long-lasting and far-reaching, which have included the following:

• The Folatia Empire is founded, and begins to rapidly expand to envelop Estya
• The Shadi Order is formed as a means for the black market of Estya to continue their trade
• The Ramanish tribes band together to form the Arborlich and repel the Folatia from the Ramana Wood.
• The Arborlich have built a united identity on repelling the Folatia Soldiers from their home
• The most powerful sorcerer in Estya, Valan Eromin is killed, resurrected, their Number Inverted, and their mortality stolen
• The trauma will go on to shape their life, and the rest of history
• The Disciples must regain Nadyn's favor and subsequently adopt new initiation rites

Historical Significance

Legacy

The insurgents unwittingly were the catalyst to start over a thousand years of war within Estya, with the Folatia fracturing and forming the Darkforge and Ebonblade and being blinded to the Demons beginning to find their way into the mortal world.
