In the now distant past, the Old Gods of Earth foresaw the end of their reign. One pantheon at a time, they started to take their favored people and separate them from the land of their birth. Another world had been selected for these would-be refugees. It was primal, dominated by a diverse array of reptilians both sentient and animal. The newcomers had to use what they knew to survive in a far more hostile world.   In the ages since coming here, the humans learned to harness magic and create technologies their forebears could scarcely have dreamed of. Sentient beings of every description migrated from their homelands across the multiverse, drawn by the influence of the old gods. Each region took on the impression of the old tales from mythologies past, though time would eventually wear down such artificial barriers.   It is now long after the Gods interfered with the natural order on such a grand scale, and they have been virtually silent for generations. Magic and Technology work side by side, though not always without friction. Mages square off with Riflemen on the fields of the west. Across the deserts of the east, the great saurian beasts are put to work rebuilding the ruins of ages past.
