Goddess of the Sky

Free, chaotic and impulsive, Aerdrie does not care to stay in one place for too long. While she delights in creating unpredictable weather, including some fairly severe thunderstorms, her primary joy comes simply from feeling the air around her as she flies above the ground.
Somewhat distant, Aerdrie seldom involves herself in the culture of her fellow deities, but nevertheless works closely with other members of the Seldarine  when required to.
Aerdrie is one of the three aspects of Angharradh, the Queen of the Seldarine.

Tenets of Faith

The Church of Aerdrie Faenya is small, with little organisation and only a few scattered temples. The clergy is primarily concerned with exploration and maintaining a good relationship with avian races.

Holidays

The Dance of Swirling Winds is a ritual celebration held semi-annually on the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, celebrating the changing of the seasons in honour of Aerdrie. The winds always blow strongly on such days when followers gather, offering beautiful feathers and performing an aerial display of ballet to the music of wind instruments played by fellow celebrants.

Avatar of the Goddess:

Aerdrie's Avatar has two different forms:
Bird: In this form, her avatar appears as a large, brilliant white eagle with the most exceptional plumage of feathers.
Humanoid: In this form, her avatar appears as a tall woman of Elven heritage; her hair is long and brown with interwoven eagle feathers in braids which run through her locks. Her skin is tanned, sun-kissed and freckled. A pair of beautiful, large bird-like wings stretch from her back with feathers which constantly shift colours, while her lower half disappears into a misty whirlwind, making it appear as though she never touches the ground.
She is recognisable in both forms by her ethereal, glimmering golden eyes.
