Clan Bronzefang

One of the Great Clans of The Dragonlands, Clan Bronzefang serves as a symbol of strength, military service and dedication to combat prowess. They believe in earning honour through battle and loyalty, a creed passed down through generations.   They consider Djerad to be their homeland.

Culture

Clan Bronzefang is deeply rooted in military tradition, with a strict code of honour based on loyalty, bravery, and skill in combat. Clan members are taught from an early age that their worth is defined by their martial prowess and ability to protect their kin. Honour duels, competitive tournaments, and battlefield discipline are core aspects of the Bronzefang way of life.   Their culture emphasises physical readiness, with most members undergoing rigorous training. They believe that discipline and strength will secure their clan’s place in The Dragonlands and ensure the protection of their city, Djerad. The clan also values tactical thinking, and many of its members become advisors or strategists, often involved in key decisions of war and defence for the city.   Bronzefang members are known for their fondness for wearing heavy armour, even in formal situations, to demonstrate both their readiness for combat and their heritage.

Public Agenda

Clan Bronzefang is committed to maintaining Djerad’s security, often pushing for increased military preparedness and stronger fortifications. They believe the safety of The Dragonlands depends on vigilant defence, and they frequently lobby for stricter border patrols along the Northern Mountains as well as the Western Border.   They offer their services as elite guards, mercenaries, and protectors, but always under a strict code of honour. Many believe that their primary agenda is to preserve Djerad’s status as the military heart of the Dragonlands, ensuring that it remains unbreachable.

History

Clan Bronzefang’s origins lie in Djerad’s early years as a key strategic military city. Their founder, Krothar Bronzefang, rose to prominence during the founding battles that solidified The Dragonlands’ borders. Krothar is remembered for leading a victorious campaign during the First War of the Sands, where the clan defended Djerad from raiding desert factions seeking to plunder the city’s wealth.   Over the centuries, the Bronzefang clan cemented its status as Djerad’s foremost defenders. During the Battle of the Bloodfields, Bronzefang warriors led the charge, holding the front lines and pushing back invaders in a battle that would shape the region’s history.   Dremak Bronzefang, the current head of the clan, played a crucial role in stabilising Djerad during a period of political unrest. His leadership during the Redclaw Insurgency ensured that the city remained under control, earning him respect among the city’s leaders and cementing the clan’s reputation as unyielding protectors.
