Clan Ironscale is a warrior-focused clan, heavily rooted in tradition, discipline, and honour. They take pride in their physical strength and combat prowess, with many of their members serving in Alonharl's military forces or as personal guards for high-ranking officials. From a young age, clan members are trained in combat, tactics, and physical endurance, with martial skill being highly revered.
The clan believes that true strength comes from dedication to one's duty and to the Dragonlands, and they see themselves as protectors of Alonharl and the ideals of the Order of the Twin Temples. Their values are deeply intertwined with the worship of Moradin, whose teachings of craftsmanship and resilience resonate strongly with their sense of duty and honour. They also hold Bahamut in high regard, seeing their service as a way to uphold justice and order.
Public Agenda
Clan Ironscale’s primary public goal is the defence of Alonharl and the greater Dragonlands. They advocate for a strong military presence and push for increased defences and training for the city’s protectors. They are also deeply loyal to the Order of the Twin Temples, frequently providing elite warriors to serve in both the temples of Moradin and Bahamut.
The clan is known for its emphasis on honourable combat and protection of the weak, often speaking out against injustice within the city. They also promote unity among the Dragonborn clans, advocating for strong, cohesive leadership under the Twin Temples.

The Ironscale Guard: A prestigious group of elite warriors and tacticians, often employed by the rulers of Alonharl to guard important locations or serve as the personal bodyguards of high-ranking officials.

History
Clan Ironscale’s origins can be traced back to the early days of Alonharl’s founding, when their ancestor Raknor Ironscale led a group of Dragonborn warriors in defence of the fledgling city against a series of monstrous invasions from the Northern Mountains and beast upon the Eastern Coast. Raknor’s bravery and tactical prowess helped repel these attacks, earning him and his clan a place of honour in Alonharl’s history.
Over the centuries, Clan Ironscale has maintained a reputation as the protectors of Alonharl. During The Battle of the Bloodfields, the clan’s warriors played a pivotal role in defending the city’s borders from invaders with the city going largely unscathed, solidifying their status as one of the Dragonlands’ foremost military powers.
More recently, Velkor Ironscale, the current head of the clan, has led efforts to modernise the city’s defences and strengthen ties with other warrior clans to ensure that Alonharl remains safe from external threats.
Foreign Relations
Allied with Clan Stonehammer: Clan Ironscale shares a long-standing alliance with Clan Stonehammer due to their shared focus on military strength and craftsmanship. The two clans often collaborate on forging high-quality weapons and building defensive structures.
Tension with Clan Brightscale: Clan Ironscale and Clan Brightscale have a tense relationship, as the latter’s focus on diplomacy and trade often clashes with Ironscale’s militaristic outlook. While they respect each other, their methods of governance and protection of Alonharl often cause disagreements.
Mutual Respect with Clan Ashenshield: Both clans share a deep commitment to the protection of the Dragonlands, particularly Alonharl. Clan Ironscale respects Clan Ashenshield's military tradition, and the two often cooperate in city defence initiatives and joint training exercises.
Rivalry with Clan Ironclaw: While both clans are known for their military prowess, Clan Ironclaw and Clan Ironscale often compete for influence within the Dragonlands' armed forces. Their rivalry is mostly respectful, though clashes over leadership roles within the city’s military forces are common.
