Fortress of Eternal Umbra
Constructed in the crux of territory between Mount Raven and Mount Canid, the spire and surrounding fortress is one of the greatest ever built in the Elven Lands. Forged of twisted black metal which is like nothing ever seen within the region, it depicts a great tower forged at the heart of one of the many leylines of the Empire and allows it to surge with arcane energy.
The exact lay out of the spire is unknown, as few who venture there do so willingly, and even fewer leave again, all that is known is that amidst the spiralling levels of demi-plane prison cells, the Arcane Reapers have their personal quarters somewhere near the apex of the tower awaiting orders.
Purpose / Function
The purpose of the Umbra Halls is to ensure the safe storage and imprisonment of denizens of the Runekeepers who have broken significant laws; caused extreme danger to life; and manipulated the Weave beyond the norm in order to cause harm. The worst of the worst are stored in the Umbra Halls, kept in demi-planar cells of pitch blackness to float eternal in an endless void.
Architecture
The fortress is built from twisting black metal, enhanced in its ability to withhold the power of mages by being infused with Cold Iron from the Feywild.
