How the Orc Lands were Formed

Hello young one, are you here for a tale? The tale of Eternium and how the hoard came to be? Sit down by the fire, and I’ll tell you a tale that starts far back beyond the memory of any living orc. A time when our ancestors came to this new world from across the sea.   Why they left the old world is unknown but Guided by the Pillars of Nishrek they made these new land their home along with many members of other races; dwarves, dragonborn, Halfling, human, even elves. The humans speak of a great meeting of the races, they call it “the last great moot”, from which an agreement was reached on how these new lands were to be divided… but the orcs know that this was not the case. It was the strategic mind of Ilneval that guided the orcs to their current lands in the North.   As our ancestors adapted to their new lives so too did the Pillars of Nishrek. New alliances were formed between the exiting pantheon, powers from the new world fussed with that of the old and new deities emerged to strengthen the hoard in these new lands.   Huru Goddess of Agriculture and the Seasons emerged to guide the orcs on the cultivation of these new lands. Her union with Bahgtru produced the guardians of the sky and earth, the twins Oorah and Oolah.   The union of Luthic and Ilneval brought forth Reeza, messenger to the Gods, and Dren, who opened the way for an alliance with Moradin and the Dwarven lands.   Shargaas and Yurtrus too expanded their reach with the creation of Rendar, Ilga, Nil and Creega. The birth of Hogar also marked the first half-orc amongst the pantheon, which grew and strengthened to lead the hoard in this new world.   And so it was that the orcs lives and thrived in this new world. New tribes began to form, from that first hoard, and spread across the land from the Cracked Tooth Mountains in the north, across the central Dead Lands to the pointed tips of Luthic’s Talons in the south.   Alliances with the Dwarves grew strong and as trade with the other races of the empire increased so too did the diversity of the hoard. Half-orcs become more common place across the lands and in some boarder tribes other races such as humans, dwarves, elves and others could also be found amongst the hoard. The strength of the hoard was no longer just about strength in battle but also in strength of mind, business and skill brought on by the deities of the new world.   But take heed young one, for not all tribes embrace the ways of the deities of the new world. There are those whose nature dwells in the ways of the old world, in the ways of war and brute strength, in the ways of the true Pillars of Nishrek.
