Falling, your wings unable to stop the decent as they burned away, the ground growing larger by the moment, and your last memories of Maligant coming to your mind wondering what you had done to deserve this before you impacted the ground and everything went black. This was Laila's last memories as a immortal angel before divinity was fully stripped from her. Now young and mortal for the first time in her life she didn't know what to do. She had spent her entire excistence in the service of Maligant and now she was suddenly cut off from them, their presence forver severed from her being. It wasn't long before a traveling group of oniborne came across her still sitting in the crater where she crashed down. They took her in and raised her as one of their own. Laila quickly became friends with another girl near her age in the tribe named Amaru Tatsuie. They became inseperable, especially after they found the baby owlbear Juniper. They played togther all one summer until they went to the Witchlight Carnival.
After that night everything changed for Laila......
