Ritual of Growing

The Ritual of Growing is a tradition that takes place during the Festival of Growing. It is meant to welcome the attendees into the community as an adult.

Execution

With some room, the maneuver depends on the preferences of the local treethane. The chronological sequence which acts as a base for the whole world is as follows:

Prior the ritual day

1. Send the invitation scroll two months ahead of the ritual.
2. Obtain the speech for the corresponding year

At the ritual day

1. Welcome the arriving audience and attendees.
2. Check the invitation scroll of each attendee.
3. Read out the speech of the year.
4. Hand out the gift of the woods after telling the attendees their new rights and duties within the adult community.
5. End the ritual and dismiss the audience and attendees.

Components and tools

The main items that are used for the ceremony are the invitation scroll and the gift of the woods.

Participants

The ceremony is held by the local Treethane, who guides the attendees into their adult life. The participants are wood elves within their 20th year of life that have to show their invitation scroll to have the right to receive the gift of the woods.
In addition to the Treethane and the attendees, the attendee's families, friends, and several dignitaries are present at the ceremony as the audience.
