Festival of Growing

The Festival of Growing includes and follows after the Ritual of Growing which welcomes wood elves in their 20th year of life into the community as an adult. The predominantly, universally throughout Etheriel available food at the festival are acorn cakes of all sorts.

Execution

There isn't a specific mandatory sequence that needs to be followed, although the festive activities follow roughly the same order of events each time the festival takes place.
The most basic order of events is:

1. Ritual of Growing
2. Gathering the attendees for the festival opening and welcoming additional arriving family members and friends.
3. The festival opening with the attendees' dance and the subsequent banquet opening.
4. Eat and socialize.
5. Listening to the gentle music, dance, keep socializing, and let the evening, possibly the night, fade away.

Festival Opening

The festival opening follows after the Ritual of Growing and is the point at which any person can participate in the festive activities. The main event of the opening is the attendees' dance which was choreographed and practiced months ahead by the young wood elves in collaboration. The dance is generally an elegant and graceful ballroom dance accommodated by gentle music. The performance varies depending on the preferences of the current generation.

Banquet

The banquet is a buffet of various food items that is open the whole evening until the festival ends. It typically has something for every taste available and traditionally has at least one type of acorn cake to celebrate the new stage of life. In rare cases, the acorn cake gets substituted by a different sweet acorn-related food item like mousse, pudding or ice cream at the request of the current generation.
