The Song of the Willow

  Suppressing the fear, I sit down on a nearby tree trunk and wait. The wind starts blowing stronger. I shiver, bundling my cloak tighter around my body to counter the cold air.   Taking a deep breath - breath in ... breath out - trying to calm my mind and body and listen to the voices.  
Time's river flows in silence, but to reach the tower, you must listen to its song.
  I recount the words, and the wind dies down. Silence encases me like a blanket, leaving me behind alone with my thoughts.   "Time's river flows in silence ..." What is this supposed to mean? Maybe this hints at the course of life? I should go to the local cemetery. There, I might find answers if my suspicion with the course of life is correct.
