Poltergeist
Poltergeists are Souls or Echos which have become maddened in some way by local psychic stressors or the circumstances of their own creation.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Poltergeists reproduce by sucking the life from creatures with souls. The process transfers their emotional state onto the soul of their victim, which becomes another Poltergeist.
Dietary Needs and Habits
To keep themselves alive Poltergeists must constantly draw Meta from the environment. This constant draw puts the local area into a state of undercharge. The lost energy is leeched from the environment, which then causes the temperature to fall drastically.
Poltergeists will also feed on Echoes for their rich energy. A surefire marker of poltergeists in an area is a sudden drop in temperature and a lack of echoes.
If a Poltergeist absorbs enough energy and echoes without other Poltergeists balancing its energy out, it may become a Shade.

Poltergeists see exclusively with Meta and Auric Divination of a level equal to themselves.
