Relana
Do not lose hope for a future free of our captor, Ahangi. Keep your mind as strong as your body, and I feel you will see the dawn of a new sun-filled era.
Relana was the doctor of Kainga and one of the last monolithic survivors of the Cutting of the Ark. A woman beloved by the village, she cemented her part in Kaingan history through her warm words, warm songs, and her final sacrifice. Her affectation was well known for pain being eased in her care, emotional and physical. She brought along her sister and her husband. She is survived by her neice, Ahangi.
She was the life of this village, a warmth that put fire in our souls. It has dimmed without her, but I know she still stirs within our Mana. I still feel her power behind every smile I see.
A Kaingan Pillar
Before the Cutting of the Ark, Relana served as the central Arcology's chief doctor. After the Cutting, she joined her fellow survivors in a bid to survive on the ruins. She founded the clinic of Kainga, and ran it her entire life. She helped birth the next generation, and helped raised them by treating them first aid and music.
She was a woman of many talents, she played for the patrons of the Eatery. Her stringed instrument strummed in tune with her songs of sweet rememberance and the power of their unity.
When Ahangi was left an orphan during a brutal siege of the Hydra on the village, Relana took her in and cared for her as her own daughter.
She promoted never losing hope, and always being curious to explore and know more about the world around them.
One for Many
Relana sacrificed herself in the last siege of the Hydra. She was sent with several of the best warriors to fight off a legion of Hydrettes trying to break down the rubble seperating the bottom from the top level. The party walked into a clever ambush set by the Hydra. Cut off and outnumbered, the people of Kainga fought to their last. Only Relana remained standing.
A brilliant shockwave blinded the Hydrettes, blasting out of Relana's body. The shockwave revived the nearly departed, and granted them strength to do as she asked. "Run!"
So everyone ran, except for her.
