Oros
The Dead God Oros
The God of Chaos. The Dead God. Oros was the youngest of the Great Gods and the only one to have been killed. Oros was considered a cruel and destructive God, tiring rapidly of the status quo and bringing about change in new and horrifying ways. While he was reviled in life by many there were also those who saw beauty and wonder in the actions of the God and both the mad and twisted rapidly found themselves falling into his service. Even those who were more reasonable could scarce deny that Oros was the greatest instigator of change and development amongst the Gods and those who survived his impulses often found themselves in his favour simply for showing the ability to adapt to change. While Oros has long since died, killed by the Slayer in an unknowable battle, his power and influence still lives through his cults and Demigods who carry on his legacy to this day. Woe betide any who invoke the name of the Dead God for disaster still spreads in his wake.

Personal history
Oros was born the youngest of the Great Gods at around the time the Twins had begun to tire of their children. As a result Oros was almost exclusively raised by his older siblings and, despite their best efforts, often began to act out in order to attract the attention of his mostly absent parents. Oros had much of the creativity that Nemera showed and lacked any of the restraint that his other two siblings had developed but never showed much interest in the creation of new ideas. Instead he directed his creativity into developing new ways to destroy what others had creating, experimenting with both quick and dramatic events alongside slow and corrupting ones. He enjoyed conflict and revelled in turning the other God's ideals and creations against each other with a perverse glee but at the same time he also loved his family for creating the realities in which he could experiment to his heart's content. The only time he ever created anything was to in some way cause greater chaos and destruction. This was apparent in the shape of the Abyss and it's ever changing forms, the despair and pain of Abaddon which he created with his sister Haphion and the two Demigods he would create to further spread destruction and change wherever it was needed.
From the very beginning Oros would show great disdain for the creation of non-divine life, seeing them as worthless and weak, despite respecting the odd individual who surpassed his expectations. This was especially apparent in the Angels whom he saw as undeserving of the love of his older siblings and he would spend much of his time undermining the attempts of the lesser beings to develop themselves and create. When the time to create mortal life he was the last of the Great Gods to agree to the experiment, seeing such things as meaningless and undeserving of their divine attention. Despite this he is likely the reason that mortals have such powerful potentials and free wills for he chose to disrupt all the ordered plans of Haphion and intentions of Nemera as he injected his power into the planes. Whether or not this had always been his intent or that he had tried to break the entire project and that Tyrarr had been able to prevent this is unknown to this day. At any rate he despised the new mortals and only saw value in their ability to die in entertaining ways although he would come to have a grudging respect for their potential for cruelty and destruction and in time had his own favoured mortals acting in his name.
Oros had no part in the Angelic Civil War until the point where the death and destruction began to attract his attention. Soon his followers began leaping into the fray, content to merely enjoy the chaos instead of choosing an actual side. In turn Oros egged on his brethren, fanning the flames of conflict between the Gods, in an attempt to make the war larger and bloodier still. Despite his best efforts the war would end with the intervention of his parents, who at this point it would be fair to say he despised, and he went into a deep depression as his great vision for an eternal, or at the least final, conflict came to naught. He would remain in this state for some time, unresponsive to his mortal followers or even other deities with the exception of Nemera and his own Demigods, until the day the Emperor became a God.
The rise of a mortal God infuriated Oros who immediately petitioned for the destruction of the upstart and an end to the Trials he himself had helped create. Despite this he was overruled by his siblings and would find he and his followers standing alone against the Emperor in the Material Plane in the wake of the Empire. Such stability and order sickened him and his opinion of mortalkind dropped even more. The emergence of the Wanderer did little to change his mind until the conflict between her and the Emperor brought about the greatest disaster the world had ever seen. The resulting civil wars and collapse of the Empire changed Oros' perspective on matters as he realised that the greatest chaos is born from the collapse of order and he again involved himself in the affairs of mortals when he could. Many turned to his worship in the wake of the destruction, believing his power to either be the only force that could save them in the end or due to simply being driven mad by the chaos of the times. Either way Oros' power and influence would peak during these dark times.
Nobody knows what Oros thought of the emergence of his own Living God, the Slayer, and whether or not he greeted her with open arms or attempted to have her eliminated. Either way the two came into conflict almost immediately upon her ascension and, shocking the entire world with an act originally believed impossible, the Slayer was able to kill Oros. One of the four pillars of creation had been brought down and the world itself would come to suffer for it. Some believe that this had always been Oros' intent, that by dying he had proven that even the most fundamental rules of reality were naught but an illusion and he had done what no other could do. Others think that the Slayer had done only what Oros would have wished for in that only the strongest of the two Gods had survived their encounter and willingly follow her as Oros' successor. Others still mourn the death of their God, seeing his death as the start of the inevitable decline of all of creation leading to the end times in a slow terrifying march. No being was left unaffected by the passing of Oros and none truly knows what consequences will come about as a result. While Oros may be dead his power is still present in the world and some think that this makes him even more dangerous than he was while alive.

Intellectual Characteristics
Oros is unpredictable and impulsive, lacking any sense of morality and with a twisted sense of art and beauty which would horrify most sane beings.
