Tyrarr

God of Truth Tyrarr

The God of Truth. Bringer of Justice. Tyrarr was the third of the Great Gods and a mixture of Nemera's selflessness and Haphion's desire for order. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and learning in all its forms. He is the patron of any who seek to advance society and civilisation and is commonly called upon for wisdom and knowledge which he willingly supplies to the selfless and just. He believes that people can only progress and develop as a collective unit, the strength of each individual adding to the whole and that being part of something greater is the ultimate form of service. He embodies such beliefs in his own actions, always acting with the other Gods rather than individually even though their visions differ so much from each other. Despite this he is often seen as rigid and many chafe under the ideals he presents as much individuality is lost to his concept of a greater good. Those who enforce the law will often find themselves a patron of the ultimate judge whether they want to be or not as his favour is blind to the desires of others so long as they further his agenda.

Personal history

Tyrarr was born with two older sisters both of whom would have a dramatic influence on his development. He spent a lot of time examining the ideals and actions of his predecessors in order to come up with his own unique worldview which incorporated Nemera's morality and Haphion's ordered perspective on reality. In doing so he not only developed his own personality but also his natural talents in a similar way as he preferred assisting the other Gods in creation to creating himself. This made him unique in that he lacked any desire for individual development over the development of others, or as he would later say, the whole instead of the one. This allowed him to help not only Nemera with her varied experiments by providing much needed stability but also Haphion's continued quest for perfection by supporting her as she worked. This resulted in, most famously, the creation of both Nirvana and Axis which represented the combination of ideals between Tyrarr and his older siblings in perfect harmony.   It is believed that Tyrarr has only ever created three things outside of working with another God. The first was the creation of Heaven, his personal domain and the physical embodiment of his philosophy and ideals. The second were his two Demigods who each represented his only attempts to achieve his own personal goals. The first, Aedos, was meant to learn and gather all the knowledge of the multiverse in order to achieve perfect understanding of reality while Taemis was built to become the ultimate representation of service and law as a being that was born from the fundamental rules of the multiverse. This lack of ego is believed to be one of the factors that allowed him to collaborate with Nemera to create the Angels as the first non-divine beings as his powers could interact with others without the conflict destroying the fledgling minds they were trying to create.   While Tyrarr's involvement in the creation of the Inner Planes was limited, compared to the grander actions of Nemera and Haphion, he spent most of his time shoring up the weaknesses in the fabric of creation and binding the different aspects of the Gods together into one harmonious whole. As a result he is often somewhat of a side note in the annals of creation which is fine as far as he is concerned for he did not act in order to claim credit as he simply intended to ensure the success of his family's endeavours. He was originally somewhat sceptical about the potential of mortal life, worried that the potential was too much of a threat for their new project, but eventually came to the conclusion that, as long as they learned to work together, mortals could become a great force for good and stability. He therefore set about sharing what knowledge he could to the developing races in order to help them come to the understanding that only by working together can they achieve their maximum potential.   The harmony of the God's would eventually come under threat when some of his children, the Angels, became corrupted by Haphion's machinations and turned on their brethren and disrupted the affairs of the Material Plane. Tyrarr was personally enraged at the hostile actions of his sister and, while initially attempting to persuade his misguided children to return to the correct path, would soon become the primary supported of the loyalist faction of the Angels. He became convinced that Haphion's actions threatened to destroy the reality they had worked so hard to make and the two almost came to open conflict. Fortunately the two siblings never truly wished to fight each other so when Azrael and the Twins brought about the end of the war the two quickly made up and were back to their normal interactions. Despite this the two would always have something of an unspoken rivalry from that point onwards and their followers often continued to openly conflict with each other even if the two Gods did not.   Tyrarr continued to look over the Material Plane and provide guidance and knowledge as he believed the mortals were capable of safely wielding up until the ascension of the First Living God. Much to Tyrarr's delight the Emperor turned out to share many of the same ideals as himself and the two very rapidly formed a partnership. Tyrarr would become very proud of the actions of his protege and he was distraught when the conflict with the Wanderer brought down the era of stability the Emperor had forged. From that point on he became disillusioned with the chaos that the Living Gods brought upon the world which only became worse with the death of his brother, Oros. As a result Tyrarr supports only the Emperor and refuses to work with any other Living God to this day.

Intellectual Characteristics

Tyrarr is logical, selfless and understanding. He believes in knowledge and order, seeing both as the best way to ensure the prosperity of all. While he supports all pursuits that provide what he considers to be value he can often fail to comprehend the meaning behind subjective matters, preferring his rigid interpretation of reality, good and law over more subjective matters.

Morality & Philosophy

To be good is not enough for it is only in service to an even greater good that one can truly ensure prosperity.

Family Ties

Tyrarr is the child of the Twins, sibling to the other Great Gods and the father of Aedos, Taemis, the Angels and mortalkind. He strives to bring his family together even when he disagrees with them and is particularly close to his elder sisters. This bond with his fellow Gods is the only thing stopping him from destroying the wayward Angels, despite being his children, for they now serve his sister instead.

Speech

Tyrarr's voice carries authority and power with every syllable. While he cannot charm or manipulate his speech is simple and concise and many often find him the simplest God to understand as he does not compel or confuse any with his words preferring action where possible instead.
