A business venture so vast and powerful that it controls the wealth of the most influential in Eurithanian society. Poised as a bank for the rich, it has some of the best defences any vault could have, yet something dark pulls the strings of their operations and nobody can stop it.

Structure

The company is stuctured based on the Blackwood family patriarchy, originally founded by Edvard Blackwood who set out the structure of authority and function. Now, 300 years later, Rubin Blackwood continues the tradition and runs the family business. He has given his 6 children control over regions and set local rates, giving the youngest the smallest franchise.
These regions are broken up as follows (youngest to eldest): Ichabod Blackwood (Dagralin), Adrian Blackwood (Marlow), Rosanna Blackwood (Mytras/The Reach), Maxine Blackwood (Ailnoth/Duraheim), Bentley Blackwood (Elysia/Bannerfall), and Enoch Blackwood (Novarian Empire).
Every quarter, the children report to the Blackwater & Sons Ltd. headquarters, found in Galador, Elysia, and often will dictate the course of the company's contracts and expansion prospects with Rubin.

Public Agenda

Provide the rich and powerful with security over their finances, provide budding home/land owners with mortgages and loans, as well as investment towards smaller businesses. They also aim to expand across the whole of Eurithan to seek new prospects and monopolise the private banking industry.

Assets

As of 1658, the financial report has resulted in an approximate value of 6.8 million gold which is projected to double in five years due to The Realm War. This value is based on client income, loans accepted, properties owned, as well as bullions to maintain loan rates.

History

Blackwood & Sons Ltd. was founded to aid businesses during a deeply rooted recession in Elysia, in which they would wipe debt by investment, but would take a percentage stake in the company, around 35-65% dependent on the risk. This shot the small business into atmospheric success with the first official bank opening in Galador in 1377. Since then, with the entreprenurial mind of Edvard Blackwood and the charismatic words of his wife Luna Blackwood, the business stretches across the charted world and funds factions in the current war.
Only recently has the Blackwood & Sons company decided to change a few aspects of the business by allowing any daughters to take helm of business operations, which has been a significant success and change of scene. However, due to the company funding allies and the enemy, some of the family have begun to break away from the mold to seek new horizon and protect their native homeland. These family members - Bentley and Maxine - have since founded a new business together, The Blackwood Institute, of which is so secretive that nobody knows its intentions.
