Disaster / Destruction
The War of the Colossus ensued as the Elemental Colossi fought against the mortal beings of the lands they ruled, only to met with resistance from their victims and a new kind of beast - dragons. These dragons would vie for control over the Colossi's land and riches, and became an important distraction for the mortal beings of Eurithan as they plotted their next move. Nearing extinction, the mortals beseeched their Creators, of whom had been in a great slumber for centuries, and in response, they awoke to lay seeds of their power throughout all of nature. With visions in the minds of these Godseekers, they sought this power, becoming the first magi and "adventurers" in existence. All that was left to do was to forge weapons powerful enough to slay Dragons and Colossi.
The rise of the Colossi was at the forefront of the creation of the Elemental Planes, causing great cataclysms across Eurithan in the forms of volcanic eruptions, floods, and storms. The strength of these energies spawned the Colossi, great beings of elemental nature that claimed the aspects of Eurithan for their own. The lands were claimed by Earth Colossus, Mo'l-katesh; the Seven Skies by Xurthax the Air Colossus; the seas by Tohva'ati of the Plane of Water; and the mountains were claimed by the Fire Colossus, Dural. In this divide, the Colossus ruled over mortals for millennia, even when the small folk rebuked they held their ground. Their flesh too tough to slash. The small folk had a turn of luck when streaks of colour soared through the air and waged war with these Colossi - the Chromatic Order of Tiamat. Little did the small folk realise that this war was fought over domination of the world of Eurithan in the name of power and greed. These winged beasts of prismatic colours were dubbed "dragons" by the people, and were soon feared as they began to decimate the Colossus over time. The dragons almost succeeded until the small folk began to be affected by the exposure to Colossus flesh, and the seeded powers of the Creators, granting them access to the "Ancient Arcana". As they delved into their newfound power, an otherworldly voice echoed through the minds of the talented and gifted, granting them knowledge to defeat the tyrannical beasts and primordials. The talented began attempting to forge weapons of unprecedented abilities, but almost to no avail whilst the Godseekers made their way to The Night Vale, to the last place the Creators touched. These people became known throughout the world as simply The Seekers, warriors of the Creator Gods, sent unto the Planes to deliver Their justice and destroy evil where it may linger. They joined the ranks of the small folk, taking up their arms and utilising their gifts to aid in the greatest war ever fought. What was once only a battle of immortals now became a level playing field as the mortals begun forging weapons imbued with magic and spoke incantations that tore the winged foes from the Seven Skies and crumbled the Colossus into rubble. Many died, with most of the world's population being wiped out in the fray, but those who lived carved the legends into the walls of caves and embroidered them into canvass to descend the aeons. Today, there are still remnants of the War to this day, still alive and thriving, hidden away from the prying eyes of mortals. The landscapes still bear the scars of battles long since passed, and even fragments of Colossus remain, carved into statues to worship the Gods. Those who pray to these unique idols find a vision disturbing their dreams. These visions intensifying as war marches into Kagarra, breaching into the Hills of Dural. All they see are blazing eyes open from the shadows of a deep, deep slumber... A Colossus rises to the march of war.
