Peddlers fetch quest Giant scale

The cave is lush much moss and vines grow down here rich mineral filled water trickles from the walls and small pools of water can be found where the caverns widen; the snake that lives down here feasting on the poisonous fruits is covered in vine and moss. When the party finds this place it is easy to get lost if they have no way to navigate it will be up to fate if and when they escape. Many routes lead to dead ends some true others false however after travelling for hours in the twisted caverns the number of dead ends seem to increase and there positions shift. If they look well they may notice a occasionally shifting sound of foliage or notice that some dead ends seem to shift at times ever so slightly. Alternatively if they sit in one place long enough they may notice that a dead end opens up as "foliage" seems to slink away "carving" a tunnel through what seemed to be solid rock. On inspection one of these moving dead ends they will find under the foliage is a set of giant scales to which moss clings and vines grow, this is what the party was looking for but how to remove them from the "wall".   The scales cannot be damaged by any blade of lesser quality then +2, as they are as hard as any steel. but a scale can be removed if one has the strength to break it from the body say by striking it with a war hammer away or parallel to the "wall" or patiently sawing or carving through the connective tissue with whatever tool seems reasonable.   The large snake is an animal and a predator at that its smart and slowly traps its pray cornering it then swallowing it whole. It notices little that its scale is stolen however the party must also escape the cave and as there exist is unknown they must sneak through the maze of the snake until they find a path it has yet to block. They mist think of a way to escape this situation in the area they are trapped there are many narrow paths many of which being blocked and also a large cavern with a deep lake.   If they encounter the head of the snake it will spit acidic and venomous spray at the creature closest to it within 70ft any creatures hit by this will have to make a constitution save on fail are paralyzed. Lastly creature that are not moving 50ft per round away from the snake are swallowed on there next turn unless they move 50ft+however much they where off last round. Swallowed creature enter the snakes stomach and cannot act unless someone outside makes am attempt to free them or the whole party is swallowed. The snakes stomach is a tight space and the stomach cannot be cut by anything less then a +2 magic blade, they may attempt to survive the whole system of the snake expecting the rear (recommend necessary HP 88 in acid damage or some method of speeding through) or be helped in being pulled out of its throat/stomach or lastly attempting to make it puke (the bristle thorn could be good) using a strong poison maybe a mighty spell some other method.   The deep lake and the large cavern. Within this deep lake is many giant lili-pads with blooming lotus, the lake is at least 10 meters deep and the water is pure mineral water. The cavern is approximately circular and 45 meters in diameter with 6 entrances 2 of which are about 2 meters above the rest as two plates make steps up to them going out about 5 meters from these entrances. The roof is high (over 10 m) and covered with stalagmites some of which over 3 meters long and 5ft at the base.
