Tower of Babel

The Tower of Babel was started by a dwarven family 7 Generations ago nearly 1000 years of work from hundreds of the best-skilled Masons, carpenters, and Smiths the world has ever seen now they celebrate the 500'th floor that said work has slowed since floor 432 known to some as paradise others as the last song. After the construction of the floor was completed the Dwarves were cursed by the heavens the Masons were stripped of their knowledge of the language and given Common as their language the Carpenters were given sylvan and the Smiths Dwarven. with the language divide work slowed and become sloppy while floor 432 was a huge paradise with skilled metalwork stonework and wooden decoration and beams floor 433 is off level the brick seems to be fighting the wooden beams and its far shorter. and as you ascend each level there seems to be less and less brick becoming solely wood on floor 450 and all floors above to floor 500. The masons gave up it was never about the end goal to them it was about the building itself for the carpenters what was important was that it kept going and it reached the heavens while the smiths focused on preserving and defending their Tower.   Key info, it takes about 1 hour to travel between a floor some have stairs others ladders except the floors above 432 which take 1 hour to travel 5 floors. the floors range in size getting smaller as you go up, Floor 432 is 600M wide which is 6 football pitches long (or 10 wide) so an area of about 24 football pitches in total (as the tower is round) while floor 500 is only 60 meters wide (10th the size). for context, the largest man-made structure is 1,700,000 and floor 432 is 262,750 M^2 (1 sixth the size), the bottom floor is 1500M (about a mile across) across and has an area of 1,767,145 so is 6 times the size.   Floor structure. 400, City, known as Babalon it's a large center with many houses people live life working fields shearing sheep and making clothes and other products as you would expect.
410, Cow farm, they farm cows on this floor and a lot of them they take their milk and also have a slaughterhouse in Babalon and Blasen to slaughter and process the meat and leather
420, Town, called Blasen it's a small town with mostly dwarves from the mason guild some Smiths live there too, and the occasional traveler
430, Market, they sell and barter like usual they have Gold and don't really trade with outsiders but can be pursued.
432, Hunting ground, Paradise has an eco-system that is self-sustained and hunting is limited, wood is occasionally collected from the cultivated forest by the carpenters to continue building new floors
other floors between 350-432 are agriculture floors (not all are in use especially below400), agricultural floors have irrigation collected from the clouds and rain, and also have small homes for families to live on.
Floors above 432 have mixed uses each family gets a floor that is there's some to go unused while others seem overpopulated its inefficient but beautiful each floor has elaborate carvings some tell tales others simply express oneself the entire floor is a piece of art even those that go derelict.

Purpose / Function

A tower to reach the heavens is a feat so magnificent that all those who work on it are instantly excepted by Moradin as his apprentices and worshiped like deities from those below.

Denizens

Factions; 2 enemies, 2 allies, 2 neutral
Masons (Common Skilled in making and placing brick, stone, and mortar they mostly live on floor 432 and have the last name Babel they are the ancestors of the man who started it all, Mason Babel the First they are a large group of 127 individuals all very skilled in what they do they are lead by the project manager of floor 432 Mason Babel the dwarves live on different floors but most live between 400 and 432 there are towns on floor 400 and 420 a market on floor 430 and   Carpenters (Sylvan all families are meeting on the top floor to celebrate floor 500. looked at like savages by Lucifel, there neutral with the elves and viewed as backstabbers by the masons. they live modest lives slowly expanding their empire they are searching for families that may have missed the message about the celebration on the 500th floor which they can't commune to the masons or smiths about    Smiths (dwarven they simply wish to mind their own business repairing the lower levels and only occasionally visiting as they speak dwarvish they can easily return to the dwarven kind and remain social in the environment but some still return to do upkeep.   Followers of Anapixious (All but prefer celestial or common): an army of these Humans have been put together to take down the affront to god that is the tower of babel. (not all the followers are racist but many are) lead by the paladin Lucifel who believes that no man "especially no dirt munching dwarves" can simply climb to heaven it is a heard earnest path one must forge from training and prayer, Lucifel intends to destroy the tower using a seed of the great maple who's rooting can part any ground but first, he must reach the top of the tower plant the seed and complete the growth ritual in which a giant tree the size of the tower will take the tower's place, this is something the elves would like. (Paladins, Clerics, acolytes ect)   Elves (elf but also a bit of Sylvan) : The elves despise the tower and the dwarves who made it, they have made attempts to destroy it in the past but did not succeed and have now resorted to attacking the dwarves and framing the drow who they also hate. a small band of elves hides in the tower going up and down floors at random looking for unprotected dwarves but never going past floor 432 in fear they will be cursed permanently like the dwarves. they dislike the Followers of Anapixiouse and but still wish for them to succeed so that they can inhabit the tree once the ritual is done they intend to kill the Followers. (Scouts, elves, fairies, and sprites)   Drow: The drow are hated by the Dwarves as many of them blame Lolth for the curse and many more assume that the stealthy attacks have been their doing. Garry Babel of the Masons says "painted a target on our backs is what we did those slavers know exactly where the best builders in the world are and have been taking us off in the night and ofc they'll go after my clan those borrowers don't know Slate from Granite they need a real Mason and they know it.". although some drow attacks do happen on the lower floors it's too far for them to travel from the Underdark all the way up to floor 432 just for 1 or 2 dwarves. The drow cares not for the tower or the dwarves that much and is mostly caught up in their own business. (Drow slavers and scouts)
