Anla of Stratis is the Empress of the Stratis Empire, succeeding her grandfather, Aud, upon his death in 492 CE. Born the only child of Crown Prince Aowan and his consort, Anla became heir to the Imperial throne upon her father's death in 488 CE.
The nature of the Stratis Empire's hostile isolationism has not provided much opportunity to learn about Anla, and her ascension was met with little fanfare. Diplomatic overtures since her reign began have politely been rebuffed. 
Stratis Imperial Ships ambushed a coalition of Accish, Warr, and Downish ships escorting the late Archrector Rurigmain II's Final Test south of Northport, landing a devastating blow to coalition ships. While the document itself made it to land on the Mares Continent safely, the ambush marked the first hostile action of Anla's reign.
